Lifetime Warranty – For as long as you own your car, Smart Glass Inc. will guarantee all windshield repairs and windshield replacements on passenger vehicles against faults in materials and workmanship. We also have countrywide warranty coverage through our affiliations with the Independent Glass Association (IGA), and we proudly offer the greatest warranty in the industry, backed by our widely accessible network of 5 retail locations and our long-standing reputation.
If there is a problem with your auto glass transaction, regardless of insurance payment status, our team will handle it personally and immediately, and the warranty is related to you as our customer, not the insurance company.

Our Warranty Details
Glass Replacement – Fixed glass installations (such as windshields) on passenger vehicles are assured for as long as the original customer owns the vehicle against water leakage and stress cracks caused by poor installation, with the exception of damage caused by vehicle collisions or metal panel deterioration (rust). All other fixed or inoperable vehicle glass pieces are covered by a one-year warranty against workmanship defects. All installed operable or moveable glass pieces are covered by a 30-day warranty against mechanical/part failure. To resolve a warranty issue, Smart Glass will provide free servicing and/or replacement parts during the applicable warranty period.
Windshield Repairs – Windshield repairs are guaranteed for the lifespan of the vehicle, or as long as the original paying client owns it. If a windshield break continues to fracture after a successful repair, the cost of the repair, plus any applicable deductible, will be applied to a new windshield installation at Smart Glass Co.
Please note that the lifetime warranty does not cover PA state inspection pass/fail or a customer’s perception of the repaired break’s visual clarity. Customers should be informed that even after a successful repair, the break may still be visible. It’s also worth noting that the windshield may crack again during the repair process. In the event of breakage during repair work, Smart Glass Co. will not be held accountable, nor will a service charge be assessed, albeit a replacement windshield may be provided at a reduced cost.
In the event of an unsuccessful repair, the client is responsible for any applicable or extra deductibles for windshield replacement.
RV Glass Replacement – For one year from the original service date, Smart Glass will warranty adhesive placed fixed glass installations on mobile homes, RVs, and motor coaches for workmanship faults such as leakage, stress cracks, and so on. Fixed glass installations with gaskets will be warranted for 90 days. Parts made of tempered glass or that move are covered by a 30-day warranty. Any parts other than glass are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, if applicable.
Smart Glass provides no warranty on parts that are re-used or re-applied to the customer’s vehicle throughout the glass replacement process. If damage is caused by body flex, frame twist, instability, or poor leveling of the coach, Smart Glass will not repair the glass.
Headlight Restoration – Smart Glass provides a one-year craftsmanship warranty on headlight restoration treatments. This includes headlight lens damage or yellowing as a result of normal driving and weather conditions. It is not insured for any deterioration or faults caused by incorrect cleaning, abrasion, or mechanical car washes. For both glass and headlamp lenses, Smart Glass always suggests ‘touchless car washes. Within the remaining original warranty period, the warranty covers additional repair services at no cost.
Additional Exclusions/Limitations:
Only workmanship concerns, such as molding adherence, windshield leaking, and installation-related issues like stress crack, are covered by the aforesaid warranty. Glass breakage caused by factors other than incorrect windshield installation, such as stone impact, improper use, or abuse, is not covered. The foregoing does not cover breakage or leaks caused by further car collisions, rust, pre-existing damage/issues, or bad vehicle design.
Only direct service conducted by Smart Glass Co. is covered by the warranty; it does not cover unrelated vehicle faults, other parts, or previous conditions. After earlier servicing by Smart Glass Co., any glass-related service performed by another provider on the same part/vehicle voids the lifetime guarantee, and the Smart Glass warranty is regarded as expired and worthless. After a service or warranty-related occurrence, the warranty must be claimed directly to Smart Glass Co. within a reasonable time frame and will be corrected according to the warranty provisions hereof.
Issues with Smart Glass auto glass warranties will be repaired at the company’s facilities. Any concerns that cannot be resolved directly by Smart Glass Co. at a corporate facility (i.e. the necessity for a third-party vendor) must first be approved in writing by a Smart Glass Co. representative. Third-party invoices will not be paid unless prior authorization is obtained. All third-party warranty claims must include proof of loss as well as reasonable and realistic proof of the cause. The lifetime warranty is solely restricted to the original product’s purchase price.
Smart Glass Co. directly writes and backs the warranty. Smart Glass Co., Lynx Services, PPG, and its partners are not responsible for any incidental or consequential losses.
